Why we're building an AI builder for live 3D places

What ARClip is for, why the fastest-growing AI builders skipped 3D, AR and games, and the order in which we're opening the doors: lessons, games with friends, training.

In the last two years the fastest-growing software has been AI builders. You describe what you want, and instead of a draft you get a finished thing: a website, an app, a working piece of code. People share what they made, and every shared result brings in the next builder.

None of them make places. Not a lesson you can walk around, not a game your friends join from a link, not a training room where a new employee practises before touching the real machine. That is the gap ARClip fills.

What we mean by a live 3D place

A place is a 3D scene with a purpose that people enter together. You describe it in words or by voice — "a solar system lesson on the desk", "an obstacle course for four friends", "a safety drill for the packing line" — and the AI builds it: objects, light, logic, interface. The result is not a file to download. It is a link that opens on a phone, a laptop or a headset, in 3D, AR or VR, with nothing to install, and everyone who opens it is in the same scene.

Three things make that possible today:

  • An assistant that builds whole scenes and keeps editing them as you talk: "bigger planets", "make it night". It reviews its own result before handing it back. How the assistant works.
  • A multiplayer editor. Avatars, voice, a chat with history — and AI agents as full participants: Claude, Cursor or our own assistant work in the room next to people. AI agents in your scene.
  • One link for every device. The same scene runs in any browser, instantly on iPhone through an App Clip, natively in our app and on headsets. Publishing.

Why AI app builders don't do this

Making a website or an app with AI needs a model and a hosting platform. Making a place needs an engine: rendering that holds up on a phone, physics, multiplayer rooms, AR tracking, headsets. That is years of work, and it is the part we already have — we have been building 3D and AR tools for years, long before the current wave of AI. More about our engine.

AI 3D generators are getting good at assets: a model, a texture, an animation. An asset is a part, though. Nobody can join it, play it or learn from it until someone builds a place around it — which is exactly what ARClip does with those assets.

One door at a time

A place needs a reason to come in. We are opening the doors in a deliberate order:

  1. Education. A teacher describes a lesson and the class opens it by link — no installs, no 3D skills. A 3D lesson in five minutes.
  2. Games with friends. The most viral door: a game made by talking, shared by link, played together.
  3. Training at work. Practice rooms for jobs where mistakes are expensive.

Each door uses the same product. What changes is the templates, the examples and who we talk to.

How we measure it

The number we watch is published places per week: a place counts once someone has built it and sent the link. Behind it come active builders, the people who enter their places and the money authors earn.

Authors earn from their places

A place that others use is worth something to the person who made it. Authors earn from premium work in the catalog, from paid subscriptions to their profile and, where the plan includes it, from ads in their places. Earnings land on the author's balance and are paid out through Stripe Connect. Payouts are in beta for now: an author verifies with Stripe, and we switch them on.

If you already build with AI, the fastest way to see ARClip is from the AI you use: build from Claude and Cursor.
