ARClip or Sketchfab
Sketchfab is a platform to publish, embed and sell 3D models, with a large creator community. Its iframe embed is close to a standard for 3D on websites. ARClip is a 3D and AR editor: a team builds the scene together, and the finished project embeds on your site as a web component or opens by link — in a browser, an app or a headset.
Free — unlimited projects, views and publishing
Choose ARClip if
- shoppers should try the product at home in AR
- shoppers need to switch colors and materials
- you need a full 3D editor, not a template builder
- viewers shouldn't see someone else's brand
- the product needs swappable parts and options
Choose Sketchfab if
- you need a huge 3D model library and creator community
- you need ready-made hotspots on the model
Already showing 3D with Sketchfab? Build new scenes in ARClip and move the old ones over gradually: models upload as GLB, glTF, FBX or OBJ.
What ARClip gives you for 3D on your website
Embed on any page
A script line and the <arclip-viewer> tag put the scene on your site. Animations, logic and UI cards work inside: it is an interactive scene, not just a model to spin.
How it worksAR from the product page
A button or QR code opens the AR scene: shoppers place the product in their own room — in the phone's browser, no app needed.
How it worksVariants without code
Colours, finishes and trims are states of an object. A button or a tap on the model switches them.
How it worksMaterial editor
Fabric, metal, glass — build your own material from nodes and see the result right away.
How it worksA configurator interface
Option buttons, colour swatches, tips and the price over the 3D — in the UI editor.
How it worksA ready configurator recipe
A script remembers the choice, shows the price of each option and sends the visitor to buy the chosen finish.
How it worksProduct animation
Open a door, take the product apart, show the mechanism — with keyframes on a timeline.

How to move your Sketchfab projects to ARClip Design
What moves over as files
- In Sketchfab, download your models as GLB — Sketchfab prepares the file for you.
- Upload the models to ARClip and build the scene: lighting, materials, animations.
What to rebuild — and with what
Replace annotations with hotspots built from UI cards, and scene settings with lighting and materials in the ARClip editor. Animations inside the GLB come along on their own.
Fastest with AI: describe the project to the assistant in the editor, or connect Claude or Cursor via MCP, and the agent builds the scene from your files and description.
Publish the project and replace the old viewer on your page with the code from the embed menu — a script line and the <arclip-viewer> tag.
Questions
How do I embed 3D on my site?
Publish the project and paste the code from the embed menu onto your page: a script line and the <arclip-viewer> tag. Your page's CSS sets the size.
Can shoppers view the product in AR from my page?
Yes. Put a button or QR code on the page that links to the published AR scene — the product opens in AR right in the phone's browser, no app needed. The embedded 3D viewer also has its own “View in AR” button: on a phone it opens the AR scene, on a computer it shows a QR code.
Can I build a configurator?
Yes: colors, materials and parts switch on click, and logic and scripts set the rules. Your page hears which variant was picked through an event from <arclip-viewer> and can switch it itself; a ready-made link to a store cart isn't there yet.
Can we build a scene together?
Yes. Everyone sees each other in the editor, writes in the project chat, comments on objects and talks by voice or video with screen sharing.
