ARClip or Rodin

Rodin by Hyper3D makes 3D from text or from one or several photos, with clean topology, PBR materials, export to six formats including USDZ, and plugins for Blender, Unity, Unreal and other tools. ARClip is a 3D editor where the model does not end up as a file: it works in a scene right away, with logic, your team and publishing in AR or on a website.

Free editor and publishing

Choose ARClip if

  • the model has to go straight into AR or onto a website — by link, with no app
  • your team builds the scene together in one editor
  • you'd rather find a ready-made model first — in your library, the community's or on Sketchfab
  • the model has to grow into a scene — materials, animation, light and logic in one editor
  • your AI agents should read and change the board

Choose Rodin if

  • you build the model from several photos taken from different sides
  • an existing model needs new textures from a description
  • you need a light model with a clean mesh for a game or the web
  • you need the model as FBX, OBJ or USDZ for another tool
  • you generate right inside Blender, Unity or Unreal

You can use both: generate models in Rodin and build the scene, AR and publishing in ARClip. GLB, FBX and OBJ files move over as they are.

What ARClip has beyond generation

  • Ready-made first

Search your library, community models and Sketchfab: generate only when nothing fits.

    How it works
  • The model lands in the scene

A generated model goes where you need it, and you keep working while it loads.

    How it works
  • Finish it without Blender

Materials in a node graph, animation on a timeline, light and logic — in the same editor.

    How it works
  • Straight into AR and onto your site

A link and QR code for phones, an embed for your site, an App Clip on iPhone — no export, no hosting.

    How it works
  • Your models as they are

GLB, glTF, FBX, OBJ or a zip: drop the file and it becomes GLB on its own, textures and animation included.

    How it works
  • Together, agents included

Your team edits the scene at the same time, and Claude or Cursor over MCP find and place models alongside you.

Pricing

ARClip
The editor, publishing and teamwork are free with no limits. Generation uses AI credits: the free plan has none, and paid plans come with 1,500 a month or more.
Rodin
The free plan is pay-per-model, at $1.50 per credit. Creator is $30 a month ($24 billed yearly) for about 60 models; Business is $120 a month ($96 billed yearly) for about 416 models and the API.

How to move your Rodin projects to ARClip Design

What moves over as files

  1. In Rodin, download the model as GLB, FBX or OBJ.
  2. Drop the files into an ARClip project — the format converts to GLB on its own.

What to rebuild — and with what

PBR materials come along with the model. Build the light, scene and logic in the ARClip editor.

Fastest with AI: describe the project to the assistant in the editor, or connect Claude or Cursor via MCP, and the agent builds the scene from your files and description.

Build the scene around the model and publish it: a link, a QR code or an embed on your site.

Questions

Is 3D generation in ARClip free?

No: generation uses AI credits. The free plan has none; paid plans come with 1,500 a month or more. Everything else is free: the editor, publishing in AR and on the web, and teamwork.

How do I move my models over from Rodin?

Download them as GLB, FBX or OBJ and drop them into an ARClip project: the format converts to GLB on its own, and animations in the file are kept.

How do I show a generated model in AR?

Publish the project to get a link and a QR code. On a phone, the model opens in AR right in the browser, and on iPhone through an App Clip too.

Can I generate from Claude or Cursor?

Yes: connect ARClip over MCP, and the agent finds a ready-made model or generates a new one and places it in the scene. On the free plan the agent can only read and check the project.
